Biology Minor Requirements:
Introductory Biology
- Biology 40: Introductory Genetics
- Biology 41C: Introductory Cell Chemistry and Cell Biology with Laboratory
- Biology 41E: Introductory Ecological and Evolutionary Biology with Laboratory
Chemistry
- Chemistry 1A,B: General Chemistry
(or Chemistry 51: General Chemistry [accelerated])
Upper-division Biology Courses
- Two upper-division laboratory or field courses
With prior written permission from the department chair, a student may receive credit toward the minor for one upper-division biology completed at another Claremont college or in a Study Abroad program.

The Biology Department recommends that students interested in pursuing Biology for a major or minor take the following courses listed in the first year:
